“So how can doctors wear masks all day ?”

Good question. I am not a doctor, did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express and do not plan on going to an operating room anytime soon.

But I did read an article that said masks were useless after 2.5 hours. I think they change them after 1.5 hours or so. And the mask is really for the patient’s benefit, not the surgeons.

Any surgeons out there??

I used to train new Nuclear Regulatory Commission inspectors. One fella came into the Nuclear Medicine suites wearin some sor of a mask.
I asked him if he was protecting us from him or him from us!

A mask is supposed to be changed any time you exit a patients room. Every time. This was not happening earlier this year. Nurses were forced to wear masks for their entire shifts, which often are 12 hour shifts than run over.
