I was sure that after the Boston marathon bombing there would be a huge change in the fireworks industry, mostly because so of the bigger fireworks would make excellent packing in a pvc pipe bomb or pressure cooker, but it didn't happen. Your assessment seems logical, if not for destruction, a better diversion of police forces, my only disagreement would be that coming into suburban areas or even smaller rural towns would be--we WILL shoot first, and we have plenty of scoped deer rifles. 🤠

I would think that fireworks in mass quantities could also be used for bombings and other terror attacks, too.

Cities & towns.

Rural areas outside city limits diffent.

Texas legislature, back in the 80's allowed municipal to extend their limits to extreme distances.

People who once where in unincorporated rural areas found themselves under city ordinances and taxes with out their approval.

Such also restricted their ability to fire range practice and hunt their property.

Perhaps it’s just experience but I can easily differentiate gunfire from fireworks.

The ban/prohibition of possession of fireworks began in the mid 70's due home fires of houses with cedar shake shingles that were common from the mid sixties to the later 70's when they were not allowed by code for new homes or replacement roofs.

At first, they outlawed bottle rockets and then went to full ban of possession of any firework.

That’s odd...real Cedar Shake house siding is still available from my local Lowe’s and Home Depot.

Fireworks and Ak-47 celebratory wedding gunfire have both been banned however.

The problem the terrorists are going to encounter is that professional fireworks are very dangerous.

This could end very badly for many of them, but not for us.

Very few homes still have long lasting cedar shake roofing.

My home was originally cedar shake.

FYI, fireworks in Texas can be sold June 24th - July 4th in unincorporated or non restricted areas.
