I had to get the swab test a couple weeks ago, four days before having surgery. The swab test is NOTHING. It didn’t hurt. It didn’t poke your brain. It wasn’t even uncomfortable. The worst thing was a sneezing jag afterword that lasted about a minute. Anyone who whines about it is a wuss.
Yeah, horseradish or good Chinese mustard gives more of a similar sensation.
The one I had hurt like HECK. Full disclosure, my nose and sinuses are very cranky this time of year anyway. But the person doing my sample got a really, really good one. Used a flocked swab, too, and went waaaaay up.
