Thye always go after the law abiding citizens who don’t cause trouble.

It’s only the thugs and gang members that get a pass.

On the other hand when you’re 88 years old you really don’t have too much to be afraid of as your life is already in the books.
I will be 88 tomorrow. It is true that my “ life is already in the books.” On the other hand, I’m not going to allow some stranger to abuse me in my last years. Though licensed, I haven’t bothered to carry the last few years until recently. Things have gotten a little more crazy recent than usual. Shoot more thieves, less thievery.

You always have a right to defend your life. Always.

My point was that compared to a 30 year old with a wife and couple of kids to support an older person has much less to lose and thus should be less afraid of the law persecuting him.

Its also unlikely that a jury is going to send a senior to prison to defending his life. Although in today’s crazy pc world you never know.
