That came out in 1969, just before the “McGovern Depression” in the early ‘70’s when cutbacks in the aerospace industry stimulated by Sen. George McGovern (D-SD) and other liberals in Congress brought on hard times and high unemployment in Washington State.

I think WI’s Proxmire was the lead on attacking the aerospace industry.

One of the “jokes” at the time was that NASA made a big mistake not designing rockets to run on dairy products.
