Some of us are STILL in deep therapy from Time Bandits! What a weirdfest…

J.K. Rowling originally wanted Terry Gilliam to direct Harry Potter. Oh man! How I wish he had directed it! It would have been the weirdest greatest film of all time.

On of the only movies that if I land on a channel laying it I will stay there and watch it for like the 20th time.

Time Bandits is a great film as well.

Yes it is! Might be Sean Connery's greatest cameo as well.

Ian Holm was truly one of the great actors of our time, standing out in whatever he did, whether it was Shakespeare, obscure art-house film, or Hollywood Blockbusters. I've always thought that his cold, menacing performance as the crypto-android Ashe in Alien was a great highlight of the film.

Holm was a true old-school classical British actor whose reputation was based on actual acting ability and versatility, as opposed to just being a celebrity personality or taking the same canned persona with him from one movie to the next. RIP.

The first time I saw him on screen was as the manipulative scribe Zerah in Zeffirelli’s JESUS OF NAZARETH. His character is the first to see the empty tomb on Easter. His performance was marvelous.
