Excellent editorial in the Wall Street Journal that speaks to your question. Essentially, Mr. Sternberg makes the comparison between today’s social outrage and hyperinflation in the Weimar Republic when inflation meant one had to use a wheelbarrow to carry enough money to buy a loaf of bread. Sternberg points out that today’s ‘woke ones’ have to continually escalate their outrage to prove their ‘wokeness’, they have reached the point even the smallest of outrages can be the focus and where all outrage is insufficient.
