Stands for “Teachta Dála”, which is Irish language for (roughly) member of parliament.

A TD (plural TDanna in Irish or TDs in English; in full Teachta Dála /ˌtjɒxtə ˈdɔːlə/ TYOKH-tə DAW-lə, Irish: [ˌtʲaxt̪ˠə ˈd̪ˠaːlˠə] (listen); plural Teachtaí Dála) is a member of Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Oireachtas (the Irish Parliament). It is the equivalent of terms such as 'Member of Parliament'
