Each generation has its own stereotype. Baby Boomers are known for being technologically challenged and intolerant to change. Millennials are apparently overly sensitive and kill everything. Gen Z is known for its obsession with social media and lack of focus. According to the American Psychological Association, these stereotypes are often wrong, and can even be harmful in an age-diverse workplace. Generally, there is tension between the youngest and oldest generations in a shared space, like Gen Z and Boomers, but the latest battle in the generational wars is between Gen Z and millennials, Twitter user local__celeb uncovered a series of TikTok comments in which younger users roasted the generation ahead of them.

Thats the most reasonable thing Ive heard so far.
I was an expert on most accounting packages in use, all except for SAP, which I would have picked up in time. I had a contract gig about ten years ago, when a mega-restaurant corporation did a tax program conversion.
I really enjoyed the challenge: corporation with 14 subsidiaries, 500 locations, 45 states. The consolidated tax return was over 250 pages, some state returns exceeded 350 pages.
I also automated and consolidated their tax workpapers on Excel.
From start to finish, it took me six months.
I believe that has been a problem since before us (Xers). I look at the 50’s & 60’s. I see that as a major era where things went downward. So what about their parents?
I think millennials are probably more of a mixed bunch than we realize. They’re getting older, reality tends to smack you around eventually.
I was a bit more old school - my son became a Marine. He’s now married, two kids, on his 3rd home...proud of him. He’s raising his kids with discipline too.
I don’t care.
My sister moved out of the house a few months after graduating from HS in 1970. My stepdad helped her find a job, too.
I basically moved out of the house after HS, going to a university 900 miles from home. I had an ROTC scholarship, all academic expenses paid, and my summer job paid my room and board.
When my daughter commented that my wife and I weren't "supporting her college dreams sufficiently", I responded without rancor, "you've just completed your first semester in college, and your mother and I have already spent more than your mom's parents spent for her bachelors degree, and my parents for my bachelors and masters degrees."
She's now 33, has a great job, and is raising her soon to be 10 YO son right.
I will always remember Brgitte Gabriel's epic rant on the subject:

Yep, exactly - in the 2 months between - I bought an old one-story Ranch house - made it all handicap accessible, moved them down to MD.
Emptied their house - fixed it up for sale, sold it ( This is Detroit, it sold for $62,000)...
They then granted me POA - found out they have large 6-figure accounts...
Old School - afraid of running out of $$$$..
My kids aren’t going to be so lucky, most of our wealth is tied up in our house. When it comes to life insurance, I’m worth much more dead than alive. lol
Technologically Challenged? You mean like sending people to the moon, and returning them safely to earth, using only a slide rule and Math? Like that?
:-)
I work with a guy who would probably agree with you.
Ha! I still deploy - my insurance makes my wife a millionaire if I’m croaked - either overseas or stateside...
I kid her that I sleep with one eye open...
If we could enact that, along with —you take any welfare subsidies of any type you can’t vote for 5 years,— that would fix a lot of things. Wouldn’t fix the moral depravity of our country but would at least bring a bit of common sense back to the equation.
“you take any welfare subsidies of any type you cant vote for 5 years”
Then very few could vote due to accepting the stimulus payments.
Yep, me too. We are noted for being cynical.
To which I say anybody who is not cynical is hopelessly naive.
