I’m just thinking out loud here but I’ve seen a lot of studies showing a correlation between poverty and violent crime. The black poverty rate is around 20%, while the white poverty rate is 10%.
If there is a linear progression you would expect to see twice the violent crime rate in blacks than whites. It’s obviously either not linear or there are other factors causing the increase in black crime. Or a combination of the two.
Good point, but there is more than just poverty, IMO and it may also be likely that there is not a linear relationship.
Personally, I think it is the poisonous “Black Culture” that is a multiplying factor. To those in the black community who subscribe to it, it glorifies violence, misogyny and racism, and is opposed to any kind of formalized education.
I think it is an extremely corrosive and toxic culture. Obviously, not all blacks subscribe to it, but even if a significan percentage of the black population does (which I believe does, even if it is not a majority) that should be taken into account.
