The CEO of Carnival Cruise Line recently said in an interview that he doesnt know when the cruise line will sail again.
According to Cruise Critic, Carnival CEO Arnold Donald said there was a communication sent out erroneously that said voyages would resume on August 1. Donald told the website in an exclusive interview that he doesnt know when well sail again.
While the press release claimed eight ships would begin sailing from the ports of Galveston, Miami and Port Canaveral, Donald revealed the message was not a pronouncement that we are coming back on August 1. Donald said the false announcement proved to be one of the most insightful mistakes we've ever made, since it caused bookings to skyrocket, signifying many travelers are ready to sail as soon as voyages recommence.

Noooo!!
I will definitely cruise again, but not on Thanksgiving!
That's why I waited, to get the status before trying them out.

It's definitely...ON!!! In fact the deals at Celebrity cruises are now so good I am planning on booking ANOTHER cruise for next June. Alaska.
It's definitely ON! Remember, the cruise is in December. Cruises will commence months before then.

Glad to hear that.
I made a mistake when I included Celebrity under Carnival.
Coincidently my last flying, staying cruise was 6 years ago, on the Celebrity Summit. It was a good cruise.
The last 5 years , because of my wife's health(Alzheimer's) we get driven to the Cruise ship, and keep a low profile onboard, and she still enjoys the cruises. -Tom
The perks on Celebrity are WAY better than Royal!! Your cruising life will change because of both cocktail hours!! You’ll meet MANY great friends!!
I learned to LOVE martinis on my Celebrity cruise last November. I must have downed a MINIMUM of a dozen per day at the martini ice bar on that cruise.
Okay, I felt better after he told me that so in my mind I had what the highest and the lowest cost could be and then after the coronavirus hit, I found out the new cost from Ian and it was WAAAAAAY below my lowest estimate.
Keep in mind that this is aboard the Celebrity Edge which is the most LUXURIOUS ship of Celebrity which is already a luxury cruise line.
Are you a guy or girl?
Let me check... I think I am a guy although I could transition to girl before the cruise.
LOL!! Just asking because martinis are usually a girl’s drink....or James Bond.
Well, there were sure a lot of guys at that martini ice bar at my last cruise. I did a video about that ice bar but had to edit out a part in which a woman at the ice bar is flirting with me while I was trying to describe one of the martinis. Don’t want to get in trouble with my wife. I already got in enough trouble when I went to a rum festival a few years ago and something similar happened.
OKAY....I was NOT going to tell you this fact....BUT the Martini Bar is where the GAY and LESBIANS meet EVERY NIGHT! It’s the LGBTQ nightly gathering......that girl was maybe NOT a girl! Stick to the RUM!
We went on a cruise but not that type of cruising.
Not a gay cruise...every night at a certain time on Celebrity, the gays meet at the martini bar! Be careful....:)

Yesterday CARNIVAL announced it is going to sell 6 cruiseships ,not named, within the next 90 days.
CARNIVAL had a 4.4 billion dollar loss in the 2nd Qtr of 2020.
IMHO CARNIVAL has about 28 ships in its organization. -Tom
