There's a pre-2000 movie called "Sweet Revenge".
In a fit of pique, Helena Bonham Carter burns down the family mansion and the rest of the household ends up standing outside, watching it burn, staying out of the way of the firemen.
Kristin Scott Thomas shows up, in socks, sans shoes, and Sam Neil says "Darling, you don't have any shoes on."
The housekeeper says "Come closer to the fire, miss..."
