When Lopez finished his comments, Lightfoot tried to move on without answering him and Lopez insisted that she address his questions.

Hard to fault his logic here.
If they were Italian, it would have escalated considerably more, only telephones are no good at communicating hand and arm gestures.
This is what cabinet meetings would have sounded like if foul mouthed Beto had been elected. That said I’m only familiar with California’s open meeting law. If Illinois’ is similar then I agree with the mayors interpret an that this meeting didn’t violate the law
