The U.S. has a population of 150,000,000 who within a qualifying age range (millenials, gen-x).
30% of adults have some type of criminal record.
18% do not have high school degree.
10% are drug users.
70% of the population are considered obese and would not qualify. This does not include other physical or mental ailments that may disqualify a candidate.
(Yes, I understand that these percentages are not mutually exclusive.)
1,400,000 are already enlisted in the military, which draws from the same qualifying pool.
You can see where I'm going with this. Recruitment is challenging so I can understand why they may relax certain qualifications. Especially when you factor in racial quotas, where liberals insist that criminal background checks are racist.
