About three days ago I discovered the 40 episodes of Guardian, a Chinese drama on YouTube with English captions. I'm starting my 2nd go-round. Absolutely compelling. If you ever read the Judge Dee mysteries, this has a lot in common. A buddy show that includes the supernatural and emphasizes family love, loyalty and self-sacrifice. Set on an alien world that's been at peace for 10,000 years but that peace is about to stop. The buddies are a superman-like character with an everyday identity of university prof, and the chief of special investigations. My first music video in this fandom.
Shen Wei is the college prof who is also the Black Cloaked Envoy from the region below the earth where the other race agreed to live to keep the peace. They're changing their minds and coming up.
Zhao Yunlan, the head of a criminal division, investigates special crimes. For 10,000 years, the long-lived Shen Wei has been keeping an eye on his friend thru his friend's various lifetimes. Then they meet in person on a case when Zhao Yunlan considers Shen Wei a suspect in a series of crimes.
Shen Wei's Kryptonite is the fact that he uses the Hallows (probably thanks due to Harry Potter) to transfer his life force to those who are injured. Which means he becomes weaker and weaker throughout the series as he helps everyone he can.

I also put up a music video I did a few days ago of a fandom artist friend whose art I videotaped back in 1988. She actually was invited to do John Wayne for a Valor magazine cover. Fan art can be marvelous.
