Has it been verified that he was in jail for child beating?

I read he got a seven year sentence for beating his children. He got early release because of covid. He was sleeping in his car at Wendys so the cops were called. They did a sobriety test, he failed it. So they looked him and because he was a felon on parole they tried to arrest him, then he fought back like a madman, got on top of a cop and tried to grab weapon, got the taser and rann off. Then turn and shot a cop with the taser, cause something to fall from the cop’s hand it looked like.
Totally justified shooting by the cops.

While I totally agree and after seeing the vid, I can only imagine what the officer was defending his life. Brooks turned to face the officer, then let loose the taser, then turned as the officer fired. I believe the officer was fired immediately. Bad, very bad. Who is going to want to be a policeman???
Did you see the press conference with his wife? “I’ve lost my best friend.” Uh.... the man who beat your kids?? He was imprisoned for cruelty to children? Everything was going fine during the arrest, then Brooks decided to take it sideways, not the officers.
So... race is more important than child abuse. Way to go liar media. But this is the party that is okay with late term abortion, so what do you expect?
