The NAACP has teamed with Tommy Oliver and Adam Platzner of Confluential Content (OWNs Black Love, Sonys The Perfect Guy, Sundance Award Winner Kinyarwanda) for #ITakeResponsibilty, a new campaign launched today that encourages White people to call out racism and commit to supporting Black lives.
#ITakeResponsibilty kicked off today with a forward PSA featuring Julianne Moore, Kristen Bell, Sarah Paulson, Aaron Paul, Aly Raisman, Bethany Joy Lenz, Bryce Dallas Howard, Debra Messing, Ilana Glazer, Justin Theroux, Kesha, Mark Duplass, Piper Perabo and Stanley Tucci as they took responsibility for the ways theyve perpetuated racism through silence or inaction, and their commitment to support organizations that fight for the rights of oppressed communities
Its critical that we understand and accept that racism is a white people problem a problem that, collectively, we need to look to ourselves to fix, Platzner, Partner and Vice Chairman, Confluential Content tells Deadline. I had never seen it quite that way before. Recent events in this country have shown us that we need to take a different approach if were to be impactful. Thats what led me to create this effort.
He adds, We are in an industry with the power and capability to drive change, internally and externally. This PSA is how we can begin a conversation among ourselves to achieve results, while at the same time standing up for our black friends and family. Each of us need to start taking responsibility for this role in our daily lives. With everything going on it didnt feel right sitting on the sidelines.
As the hashtag suggests, the campaign is inviting others to take responsibility and stand in solidarity with the Black community and make their own videos. In addition, the PSA urges people to donate to the NAACP, Black Lives Matter and the Bail Project.

We should indeed call out racism. Racism is stupid and wrong.
OTOH, racism doesnt mean what they think it does, and applies to a lot of folks they endorse. Much of the MSNBC and CNN talkers are blatantly racist, for example.
You are right. Every time I hear something like this it sounds massively racist. They truly do think that blacks are inferior. Things like they can’t get ID, can’t vote without help, need grade bumps in school, and so on. I don’t think they even know they sound racist. I love the Ami Horowitz video about voter ID.
Let’s have the liberal celebs do something today. Have them denounce the genocide of black babies by Planned Parenthood. They can do it starting on their twitter page then on facebook. PSAs would be a good touch too. Take a stand Hollywood, stop the genocide against black now.
They tried to act passionately. Not one good actor in the bunch. Maybe they should rehearse a little more.
Or maybe they should just give up their role in future movies to blacks. It’s time they pay. Their honky guilt just isn’t enough. If they’re serious, step aside.

NAACP, Jesse jackson, Al Sharpton et al, are being marginalized by the islamo communists BLM. There just trying to stay relevant. The old Christian civil rights leaders are aging and fading away fast.
I was offered extra cable stuff for 5 bucks a month two days ago. Pretty good deal.
I saw Cheers reruns were available. Stars Ted Danson.
Said no to both. Won’t watch as much sports prospectively.
This Ted Danson?
