Tesla auto’s are really pretty simple. All the high tech and is done up front in R&D. Beyond the battery there isn’t any exotic materials or complex machining.

Electric motor’s are dead simple compared to Internal Combustion engines and there is not super complicated automatic transmission.

It’s pretty much a racket and Musk knows it.

“Beyond the battery there isn’t any exotic materials or complex machining.”

If that were true, why is Tesla still the acknowledged leader in the field?

Tesla designs its own chips currently manufactured by Nvidia, but now moving into its own chip fabrication.

“In this latest video, Munro explains why Tesla’s electric motors are so superior to those of the theoretical competition. “They’ve got magic,” he says. “The electric motor is smaller and lighter than everybody else, but outperforms everybody.” He even shows us a little magnet used in Tesla’s motors - it’s the size of a camera battery, but it includes some astounding technology that gives it super-high performance.”

Take some time and watch some of the Munro Tesla teardowns.

Notice that the euros have yet to move ahead, and unlimited spending.
