Without a doubt today’s conventional electronics/plastics are beyond stupid. A computerized device controls door lovks, ac vents, brakes, accellerator, suspension, motor, kill switches all over the place, et all, in the name of luxury.
Its all about planned obsolescence.
BMW/Merc are the biggest, the you have Chinese Range Rovers that are incredibly buggy.
“Its all about planned obsolescence.”
If that is true, when were vehicles not made with planned obsolescence?
The old ones with 6 volt systems/ Good luck below freezing?
1960-70? Good luck finding one not assembled on Monday or Friday? Or deer season or St Stanislaus Day...
The 1980s? with air pumps and a massive array of smog control crap.
The 1990s? Better but they came with touch controls. In case you missed it, read the rest of the thread about that crap; sadly detracting my most favored vehicle to date a 1994 Suburban.
The 2000s? Getting better especially Japanese cars.
So pls tell us about your lasts forever zero maintenance beater?
