Senior policing and political figures have condemned attackers who lashed out at police and threatened them with a baseball bat yesterday, with Home Secretary Priti Patel branding the violent scenes as “sickening, shocking and disgraceful”.
Passersby could be seen posing for selfies as two officers were allegedly assaulted while trying to speak to a suspect in Hackney, East London. Footage shows one of the officers falling to the floor as he grapples with a suspect, who Met Police say had been pointed out to officers following an assault.
As a crowd gathered around one of the officers, a second man could be seen arriving with a baseball bat. Footage appeared to show one officer being punched in the head, while another officer was kicked by a group as she came to her colleague’s aid.
Home Secretary Priti Patel has condemned the attack, describing it as: “Sickening, shocking & disgraceful. My thoughts are with the outstanding officers who were subject to this disgusting violent attack.”
Hackney’s own borough commander, Marcus Barnett, said: “This is truly despicable & society should never accept such behavior — we are here to protect you! The officers are safe, but clearly shaken & incredibly brave too. Arrests will be made… this must stop.”
Two men are in custody at an East London police station tonight following the incident, with both officers suffering minor injuries. Neither required hospital treatment. …

In England in the past year there were 5 officer-involved shooting deaths. Three people running around stabbing other people were shot in the last six months. The prior six months, there were two shootings, both deceased had firearms.
Not counting the bridge suicide vester and the machete hacker, about 10 bullets were fired in a year’s time.
There is absolutely zero reason for mobs to be rampaging thru England.
The only reason communist’s need is to take power.
