The Constitution doesn’t forbid the seat of government from being more than 10 square miles. Article I, Section 8 says it cannot exceed a “10 mile square”. The problem is, confusing “square miles” with “mile square”. “Square miles” is an area measuring length times width in miles. “Mile square” is an area with all four sides being the same length in miles.
For "us" ( older generation ) that's basic 8th grade civics. Do they even teach civics anymore ?
