I think the news from Texas is that hospitalizations for chinavirus hit new highs, not necessarily an increase in infection rates.
I don’t mind seeing the rate of new cases remain steady; it will get us closer to herd immunity, especially when you consider that likely 15% of the population is asymptomatic, which means the rate of infection is much higher than reported.
The sooner we get to herd immunity the better, we don’t need any excuses for a second shutdown or mail-in voting.

What if that is why POTUS and team made a big deal about how its okay to peacefully protest? They want peaceful protestors to circulate in blue cities and increase the herd immunity... so they can all vote in November in person...while voter fraud is controlled.
