Not only is Emphraim Zimbalist Jr. dead, but Jedgar Hoover was a blackmailing crook and (at least) a transvestite to boot. The FBI was he and FDR's progeny.

My dad was a career federal employee (VA attorney) and a staunch Democrat, but he never liked the FBI. I don’t know all the reasons, but part of it was that he thought they were publicity hounds and grandstanders.
