I’m genuinely fearful of the future. How prominent of this section of society in the U.S.?

As far as the defunding of the police goes, a poll out this week said only 16% of those polled wanted to defund the police.

This is well within the typical liberal sector of the country, which runs between 15-25% of the total population.

These people are radicals and jump-on-the-bandwagon Leftists who want to be seen as "woke". They have no practical idea what it would mean to defund the police in communities. Chaos would ensue. Fighting crime on the honor system won't work, I'm afraid.

The idea of defunding the police departments across the country is going nowhere.
