When I was in high school in the 60s our cheerleaders were not just hot, they were hot, hot, hot. As far as I could tell they were also nice girls.
A few months ago, a local TV station was interviewing the cheerleaders of a school not too far away. There was not a pretty girl in the bunch.
What is going on? There are sill plenty of pretty girls around. I see them all the time.
In the 80s, the cheerleaders I remember from HS were generally very pretty.
Half of them were snobs and stuck up types.

Our town has plenty of pretty girls, but any girl can be a cheerleader or pom pom girl, here, even if they’re not particularly pretty. Which is good. Where I was raised, only the pretty girls in the in crowd got picked.
