I used to carry a 38 detective special in my car as kind of a last line of defense for an incident of being harassed physically in my car. Had to use it once when some wacko was pounding on my window as my car was disabled outside of Santa Barbara. My words to the bum were, break this window and you are dead. Fortunately he ambled away.
I have moved on from that, now I keep a Baretta Storm 9MM by in the car. The mags inter change with the 9FS too. All loaded with Federal Federal 9BPLE 115 gr hps.
