Go to the IRS website and put in your bank account info for direct deposit and if you are eligible they send it rather quickly. They had a page set up just for refund checks, I would think they still have it up and running.

DON’T DO THIS if you have already filed a mail in return!
You are tactically screwed as they will not touch any mail in returns for another 5-6 weeks.
Filling in the “no account info” will require you to lie that you have not filed a return and can be actionable.

"Go to the IRS website and put in your bank account info for direct deposit and if you are eligible they send it rather quickly. "I read that the ability to do that had expired May 13th.

We waited and waited for "a check" and finally submitted our bank account info for direct deposit. End of May the direct deposit came through. I don't know of anyone who actually has received a "check".
