I’m not trying to be Stevie Downer here but there’s a few things to understand...
1. What are the crosstabs on this 40% approval? Black men over 40? Black women over 60?
2. How deep is that approval? On Election Day, does it translate into votes for Trump and/or the GOP?
I’m not saying these numbers are wrong. I’m just trying to temper everyone’s excitement at these numbers and trying to drill down further to see hoe accurate they are.
It’s a Rasmussen poll of likely black voters, and he will be publishing these kinds of details shortly. So, if you really want the answers, check his site starting tomorrow.
This number is a bit higher than any previously reported number, but not by that much, and his and other polling have shown Trump’s support among minority likely voters consistently edging up.
