National Guard in Washington D.C. are told NOT to carry guns or ammunition by Defense Secretary Mark Esper as he orders all active-duty troops out of the capital
UK Daily Mail ^ | June 06 2020 | DAILYMAIL.COM REPORTER and REUTERS

The Pentagon has told Washington D.C.'s National Guard and guardsmen from other states who have are in the nation’s capital not to use guns or ammunition.
The order came from Defense Secretary Mark Esper and made without consulting the White House, The Washington Post reported, and it's seen as a sign of de-escalation of the federal response to protests that sprung up in the wake of George Floyd's death.
Trump has pushed for a strong militarized show of force, calling himself the 'law and order president,' and earning him criticism from several retired military generals, including his former chief of staff John Kelly and former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis.
W....T...H!!!!!!
Things wrong with this article.
1. Daily Mail.
2. Their source is the Washington Post
3. We saw military dressed personnel bussed into DC with NO identification on their uniforms and they would not answer questions.
I report. You decide.

I hate to go against our dragon mother but I would recommend FreeQs NOT attend the protests in DC tomorrow. Why? You will wind up injured or worse. You know this. I know this. Everyone knows this. This isn’t the place or time to make our stand.
Use the tool to get the banana. Think logically.

a very interesting theory in this twitter thread
So is Mattis really being groomed for a role in military tribunals as Q2637 seems to suggest or was Q2637 an example of “disinformation is necessary”? A lot of bad stuff about Mattis’s character seems to be coming out from all quarters over the last 24 hours. I always felt Kelly was a white hat playing the role of a black hat. Even Nikki Haley’s report that he and Tillerson made some comments to her about POTUS’s unfitness struck me as probably a sting on his part to see if swamp creature Haley would take the bait. But with his recent defense of Mattis, who can say? At this point all I can say is if we’re witnessing disinfo, then team Q is doing a damn good of it.
I think Mattis is smart in some ways and stupid in most. I think he’s exposed himself with his recent op-ed.
Kelly is bad as well. Just because you’re a Marine doesn’t mean you’re not a dumbass. Value his difference.

Lightning strikes Washington Monument; two National Guardsmen hospitalized in separate strike
"Two National Guardsmen deployed to Washington D.C. due to protests were injured in a lightning strike during severe storms Thursday night into early Friday, hours after an initial bolt struck the Washington Monument."
"We received a call around midnight informing us that two military personnel had been injured in a lightning strike, D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department Public Information Officer Vito Maggiolo told USA TODAY. We responded and the two individuals were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. "
"Maggiolo said the guardsmen were injured in Lafayette Park, with close proximity to the White House, in a separate incident from the lightning bolt that struck the Washington Monument. " ((my note: it struck the monument twice))
"Both soldiers were from the South Carolina Army National Guard, a spokeswoman for the states Guard told the Greenville News, part of the USA TODAY Network. Their names and hometowns were not released. "
It was clearly an indirect strike, presumably to a tree that was nearby.
