Interesting comment since there’s not to much drumming on the album.

In my opinion, Joni Mitchell is one the greatest modern songwriters and “Hejira” is her masterpiece. Amazing musical/chord structure, harmonies and lyrics that are rich in imagery.

The great Larry Carlton’s guitar is exquisite and even Joni’s rhythm guitar’s complex chords is quite impressive.

I don't limit my self to just the rock and roll genre. As I said I bought that album when it first came out. I listen to a wide range of female singers from that era. Carly Simon for one. Couple of years ago a friend had a karoke night in his bar. I sang Simon's “Anticipation’’ swear to God. I'm a guy bt I have no problem at all with high register tones. And I'm 64 years old. Can do Judy Collins “Someday Soon’’, Joan Baez “Sweet Sir Galahad’’. Singing them, not bang on the drums and doing it and not singing along to the music. I mean actually singing it. Sing guy stuff of course. Like to do a lot of Bob Weir stuff. Especially his cover of Marty Robins tunes. "Me And My Uncle'', Big Iron'', El Paso''. Don't do so much of it anymore though. Kinda retired from it. Sing some Supremes stuff too. My favorite is “Come See About Me.’’
