I can go with the ‘rose’ thing but not too much in Portland — THE ROSE CITY.
Portland is proud of it’s Rose festival. High schools have classes of students (Frosh, Soph, JR., SR.) raise $$$ for their specific class by affixing roses to floats for the annual Rose Parade (the students work all night long). It’s a big thing.
In the SW hills there is a Rose garden (with LOTS of Jackson Perkins test roses (JP is based in Medford, OR)).
You are a good man (men actually as I KNOW there are two of you: one awake and the other in the corner at the recharge station) and we need to pull this ‘rose’ thread.
It’s just possible that the ‘rose’ thread falls somewhat flat in Portland...
