Actually, Nixon just squeaked by Humphrey in 68. But if George Wallace hasn’t been running as a Third Party candidate, Nixon might have captured most of the blue collar voters who responded to Wallace’s “law and order” rhetoric.
He beat the hell out of McGovern.....It’s coming again in November...IMHO!!!
