I have a better nonviolent solution for looters. Looters and arsonists are engaged in violence. A .308 at 2600 fps ends their violence. I’d like to see that solution applied as many times as necessary to remove rioting, arson, looting, and other forms of terrorism from our political landscape.
There’s only one way to stop a looter.

Yes, the water will damage the electronics, but all it will do to the looter is make him/her mad. And an enraged animal is dangerous.
Even if that were practical it gets more complicated with the need to ad dye to the water for later identification and arrest.
A large crowd of Good Men type citizens armed with clubs wading into the looters and rioters is what needs to happen for our own national health.
For too long we’ve obeyed the demands of the cult of cowardice and not confronted else we “sink to their level” or “become just as evil as them” and all the other preachings of the cult of cowardice.
Rise up. Crush them. Smash them down. The stupid s*** stops.
It’s only happening like this because we sit on our hands and let it happen, whine, cry and moan about it and that’s all.

There are many techniques available for crowd control short of lethal force—tear gas, sonic weapons, hoses, etc.
Any of them will stop looters and arsonists in their tracks.
