1. What determines the point at which you will turn and run and abandon the citizens you have sworn to protect and serve?
2. Can you draft a policy which gives the citizens a clear understanding of when you will turn and run? This is vital to the community because they need as much notice as possible to arm, organize, and deploy to have a chance to overcome the threat.
3. Hypothetically, suppose a crowd of thousands of thugs approaches a community and you turn and run and abandon your citizens. The next day, thousands of bodies of thugs are stacked like cord wood. Since you chose to abandon your positions, are you now obligated not to investigate, and arrest and prosecute the citizens who defended their homes and lives when you wouldnt?

How many Marines will join in the riot?
Let’s just say, I have zero faith in any public sector employee. And that includes the military.
That's a good point, but I think we are seeing the fecklessness of liberal politicians when they have to deal with the Antifa and BLM wing of their own party. They are afraid to do anything to stop the rioting in other people's neighborhoods, which is actually the greatest form of racism of all. I am sure they will stop it when they are in danger of having their own houses burned.
As a former Marine, I confidently say none. Marines thrive on discipline.
This is why the second amendment is so important
Now more than EVER!
Thanks, feel free to use it or any part during this issue.
Protect and serve= Cut and Run.
Covid and this whole riot incident show why a significant percentage of us on FR do not hold police in high regard. In some ways I am glad conservatives have had their eyes opened to the fact that the police are not their friends. Hopefully, this will reduce the amount of blind loyalty shown to LE on FR.
They did not turn and run. It was a de-escalating retreat.
By letting them burn their own neighborhood, they saved lives be not engaging.
The Police are not going to engage the rioters like that. That is not productive. And its not worth making martyrs over.
Makes you wonder doesn’t it? In some states the police are happily going around confiscating guns under the guise of protecting the public under the authority of “Red Flag Laws.” Can we gather all these hero warriors together and send them to Minnesota to confiscate guns from people who are a real threat? Asking for a friend.
I’m not sure if it’s a matter of cowardice. I think that maybe we don’t understand who the cops really work for.
And what Marine would fire on civilians?
They ran so fast that the hounds couldn't catch 'em. On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.
Yeah, the folks on FR want to send in the Marines and gun down unarmed civilians.
Thats the type of person we see on FR these days.
We’ll never know because they won’t be deployed.
A Marine who would uphold his oath to defend our country from enemies foreign and domestic. And if you think we don't have domestic enemies you haven't been paying attention.
A platoon of Marines would be enough. A company if you wanted to be absolutely sure.
And the people in the streetunarmed and walking aroundare worth shooting at.
Buddy, you have been out in the sun too long.
No marine would fire on those people.
