Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow was among the notable athletes to speak out Friday in the wake of George Floyd's death while in police custody Monday in Minneapolis, saying the "black community needs our help."
"They have been unheard for far too long," Burrow, the Heisman Trophy winner and No. 1 overall draft pick, said Friday on Twitter. "Open your ears, listen, and speak. This isn't politics. This is human rights."

And the black hockey player calling out Sidney Crosby by name! Imagine if a white hockey player said blacks need to take responsibility for the actions of others.
Last week, I saw a black person on ESPN say “the white boy” can play. If a white hockey player said “the black boy can skate...” there would be all sorts of repercussions. Obviously minor by comparison but there is a lot of friction in the world and double standards persist.
I had respect for Joe Burrow, but no longer.
Go ahead a-holes. Take a knee. Watch your fans disappear.
