What actually happened to the killer in this case:
Brailsford was acquitted of second degree murder by a jury and was reinstated to the Mesa Police department in August 2018, then over a month later was granted retirement on medical grounds, as well as a pension.
I have to ask, what is wrong with juries these days? I am just cynical enough, to think they purposely over charged the guy, knowing they could not get a conviction. They might have gotten a conviction, with negligent homicide or involuntary manslaughter. Who knows for sure?
