Cops should be held to a higher standard than civilians. If a cop shoots a guy leaving a robbery on the other hand should be free to shoot to kill. The same should be true of a homeowner. If someone breaks into my house and takes my cashbox or pistol, he is going down. It is madness that the law doesn’t protect my property, and I cannot either. You can no more replace $1,000 in cash, than you can the days it took to earn that much over and above your life expenses. A theft is taking the time you traded for the object, not the object. What is more valuable than time in your life? What is more precious than your lifes energy, which is represented by your property?

It's not just your material possessions but the time that you had to work to earn the money to buy them.
Your time is finite and irreplaceable.
