TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — President Donald Trump asked via Twitter if NBC would fire political talk show host Joe Scarborough based on an “unsolved mystery” years ago in Florida.
Trump added, “Investigate!” in the Wednesday tweet.
It was an apparent reference to the death of Lori Klausutis, who worked in Scarborough’s Fort Walton Beach congressional office.
THE FACTS:
The 2001 death was investigated after Klausutis was found dead in the office. It isn’t considered a mystery.
An autopsy revealed that Klausutis had an undiagnosed heart condition and a coroner concluded she passed out and hit her head as she fell. The coroner said the head injury caused the death, but she wasn’t struck by another person.
The death occurred a month after Scarborough announced he was leaving office. Scarborough was in Washington when Klausutis died.

That’s fair. I do wonder how they knew she had a “heart condition” if it wasn’t diagnosed when she was alive. That conclusion could just be speculation or guesswork.
But your heart doesn’t have to stop for you to pass out. Some young people do have conditions that cause fainting, and fainting without underlying conditions may actually be more common in the young than in the old.
Except the coroner could not conclusively state that there was a heart condition, he made the assumption because the heart stopped, and he couldn’t say exactly why the heart stopped, except he seemed to believe that there wasn’t enough internal bleeding from the head injury to suggest the heart was still going when the head hit.
Except it is almost unheard of for a healthy person to collapse from a heart problem in a way that causes them to hit their head. Even a heart attack doesn’t cause immediate loss of consciousness; A stroke would do that, but she didn’t have a stroke.
I doubt she was killed, certainly not by Joe himself, but it is possible she was, and the coroner could not rule that out. Even wikipedia, the leftwing website, admits this — although since this whole “Joe killed his secretary” was actually a left-wing conspiracy theory, it makes sense they supported it.
The amazing thing is that not ONE media site, or censor, has moved to shut down Daily Kos, the web site that pushed this conspiracy theory for years, and still has those posts on their web site.
It is disappointing to see so many gleefully sully a woman’s reputation for political points. There has been no evidence presented that this Catholic, Republican woman was having an extramarital affair with Scarborough.
Death rate of young dying from fainting accidents. I could not find it. The chances of an extremely young marathon athlete fainting and dying has to be a close as to winning the lottery. I think even a person fainting has a survival reflex to prevent massive injury.
I seen people faint in the Marines from locking their knees while standing in attention for long periods of time. They collapsed straight down, like they were falling in on themselves. Never once was any of them hurt or hit there head hard.

Check flight records. MurderJoe may have been in Washington when she died, because she did not die instantly. One might find that he made the turnaround flight BACK to Florida with someone located in DC.
WOW, the coroner knew that she wasn’t struck by another person.
What a great coroner. This case was lucky to have this one.
...and Chandra Levy disappeared in May of 2001. Seems to me the Boys Club was really active about that time.

I’m not saying Scarborough did or didn’t have an affair with his secretary/intern, just that Imus and Scarborough started this themselves, many years ago.
I’ll stand by what I said. If it wasn’t a heart attack then a sudden loss of consciousness to the point of falling is highly unlikely. Tripping or being pushed is a much more likely explanation. Undiagnosed heart condition? Did the coroner indicate exactly what that condition was? All I have heard from the MSM is that she undoubtedly fell and hit her head because of an “undiagnosed “ heart condition.
But I listed several conditions short of a heart attack or sudden death that can cause fainting. You can believe what you want to believe, but it's not supported by the facts.
And yet he and Imus went on national TV and joked about Joe having had sex with her and then killed her.
I don’t think Trump has ever accused Joe of murdering anyone. He is just asking a lot of questions and the media are making it sound as if he is actually accusing Joe of the murder.
It’s just like the malaria drugs. Trump said he was hopeful it would work and very positive about it but also recognized it might not.
Trump trolls people and they just don’t get it.
It seems really odd to me that we think Joe Scarborough is a creepy leftist shill, but these leftists making comments on the article at DailyKOS talk about Joe Scarborough as if they think he is Hitler's grandson and Goebbels' grandnephew.
At some point, the push back will happen.
The left will not be allowed to dominate by force in the USA.
I fear for our future, because I suspect it will not be good and not by our choice, but what is forced on us.
What are the facts. Per the official version she died because a previously undisclosed heart condition caused her to fall and suffer a fatal head injury.
Do you really buy that?
The dailykos and Michael Moore never bought it. They had a running feud with scarborough.
All I'm saying is: "A heart condition can make you faint. High blood pressure, low blood pressure, heart valve disease, cardiomyopathy, pericarditis or arrhythmia can make you faint."
