So it stands to reason that the highly intelligent birds, whose habits are to migrate thousands of miles and return to the same spot, to mate for life, and to roost in familiar spots, would also be able to determine areas where dogs or other predators are marking territory, and stay away.
I agree completely. I live in the northern edge of the south and formerly lived for a long time in the north; but family lives all over the south and I go south frequently to visit. The comparison is striking. Southerners are much more polite overall and more apt to carry forward received Christian social virtues when possible, including peaceful interaction between the races.
