Since we have no immunity to this disease, eventually a huge number of people are going to be infected. Hopefully most won’t have any symptoms and not even know they have it. The number of cases is not what should be most important. The number of hospitalizations, the number of ICU patients and the number of deaths are what really counts.

The more specific data we know about the characteristics of people needing hospitalization and, especially, dying, the better informed people’s decisions will be in making their choices about going places. Elderly people with underlying conditions may want to stay away from crowds until there is a vaccine or an effective treatment. It should still be their choice.

Um, you are aware people are being tested and are being shown to have this antibody, right? This means they had the virus, and now have immunity to it. That’s how the body develops the antibody.

Hello ... thousands — probably hundreds of thousands — DO have immunity to this disease. And more are becoming immune every day.
