She doesn't have any political beliefs. She's an actress that's past her "sell by" date. Her last big show, Charmed, went off the air fourteen years ago. She's 48 now, and is not going to get the hot THOT acting jobs she used to get. There are always new, attractive actresses. A post menopausal woman is not going to get acting jobs by flashing her boobs.

Her new acting gig is as a social justice warrior, and I'll guarantee you, she's getting paid for this gig.
