One of the big similarites is they are followers. They identify an “adult guru” and follow everything they say.
Conservatives tend to think for themselves and value personal freedom and responsibility. They may listen to your advice or suggestion, and then choose to take or reject it. Leftists and Muslims find that “glorious leader” and will follow them off a cliff.
When I was in prison ministry I saw a lot of black men that were becoming muslim. Thing about islam is that it teaches that if you do exactly what they say, then any problems you have are the responsibility and “fault” of someone else, be it the great satan (the US) Israel, or your infidel neighbor. And these (mostly fatherless) men need that kind of tight control on their lifestyle so they embrace it.
Leftists are like the little cars on the track at a carnival that follow a rail around a course and the steering wheel is connected to nothing. You make no decisions. You are not in control. You are on a pre-determined path and tightly so.
Conservatives are more like the cars at Autopia (Disneyland) where there is a rail in the middle, but you have a couple of feet of width to play with. You are actually in control but you are prevented from going off the road.
And truly free men are like the cars on the public roads. You are even free to kill yourself and others. But you don’t. :)

Koresh was the shot across the bow. It was the warning that opposition to the Deep State will get you and your loved ones slaughtered. That’s what happened! At this point, if people think that we can somehow negotiate a truce with the left they are delusional. They want to kill you, and destroy the souls of your children. The worst feature of Leftism is that it always comes at you with a “Face of Compassion”. This allows them to acquire power, and when they have it, they incarnate the goddess they worship: Kali. But this is an enraged Kali who will destroy with only one goal in mind: Power.
In the prisons I visit in my church’s ministry I have come across along with muslims also “black isrealites” and “odinists”...which are unfortunately anti-semite / racist groups by any other name.
