I used to explain to our kids that Vietnam was ended politically. We did not fight it as a total war. I told them our military regularly kicked ass, but the troops were not allowed to win.

We won't make that mistake with the rona, will we? We won't order a shut down the country just to fight a virus we won't find a permanent cure for, right?
