The grandkids were over for dinner yesterday. Two things they’ve learned from their virtual schooling: Global warming is real, and we (USA) lost the Vietnam war. I told them two things in return: shut the door, it’s cold in here, and we were winning when I left. 🥶🇺🇸

I used to explain to our kids that Vietnam was ended politically. We did not fight it as a total war. I told them our military regularly kicked ass, but the troops were not allowed to win.

I let my mother in law deal with any WWII issues. She cleared up Hiroshima one night at dinner in about the best two minute “schooling” I ever saw.
