If 99% of people recover from this virus, why is a vaccine needed?
when you're old like me you're not in the 99% group, your in the 40% group that dies a horrible death.
Let us oldsters with co-morbidities take the vaccine and the rest of you can go about your business.

Just because most survive the illness doesn’t mean there aren’t unplaesant complications for many. Shingles for example, doesn’t kill a lot of people, but many will get a vaccination to avoid the effects of the disease.
Also, hospitalizations aren’t cheap. You may survive COVID but still have a large bill when you are discharged.
