I watched a decent amount of the race on Sunday and it was good to see some types of sports on TV again.
While NASCAR was off, I watched some of the Iracing online events.
It was actually entertaining...
If NASCAR is looking to grow their audience especially with younger fans, they would go all in on the Iracing.
When things get back to normal, have 20-25 actual NASCAR drivers at each track they run on and have fans run qualifying races to make it in the race and then race against actually Drivers....
The technology is pretty good now and it’s only going to get better....
I assume you mean to have the Iracing in addition to the regular NASCAR race?
One think I liked about NASCAR and IndyCar running iRacing series is that we got to see a few drivers from NASCAR run with IndyCar. And some of them did pretty well.
Word is that Jimmie Johnson is looking to at least run a few road courses with IndyCar after he retires from NASCAR. I’m not a fan of his, but I also know he could draw in a few folks who might not otherwise pay attention to the series.
