““Song on the Radio” another gem!”

Yes it is!....great saxophone work.
Alan Parsons was the producer on the album and single.

GASP! The Singer/Songwriter era of the 70’s was a great period in music! Al Stewart, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, Harry Chapin, Gordon Lightfoot, Carole King, etc.... but then again, I’m an old fart! LOL!

“I was always fond of Road to Moscow.

He is still touring! I saw him in concert a year or two ago. Still going strong!”

My favorite too. I saw him in concert at a casino in Reno a few years ago.

Those are the best parts. What the lyrics mean, I don’t know, but it sounds good.

Wonderful song! Haven't heard it in many years. Also loved Summer Breeze by Seals and Croft, which I have not heard in such a long time.

Reminiscing on a wet, dreary quarantine night can be a good thing.

Cute.

I didn’t like it.

This what I liked from the mid 70s

One of the truly great ones, RIP Rory Gallagher

My guess is that I'm probably older than you. The 60s were,by far,the best decade for rock, pop, folk and even "easy listening" and instrumentals. The 50's were good and the 80's featured some fun stuff too.

Yes,Gordon Lightfoot was a genius...especially his early stuff.Carole King as a songwriter was great...as a performer,not so much.

Tim Renwick is a masterful guitarist. Great acoustic solo segues into great electric solo.

That song sounds to me like it’s referencing old 30s-40s movies.
