Yesterday, my wife took her 86-year-old mother to the doctor for a follow-up visit on a leg vein roto-rooter job she had recently. Of course they both have to wear a mask in the waiting area. Mom immediately complains that it's restricting her breathing, but she continues in COVID compliance.
When she gets into the examination room, the first thing they do is take her blood pressure. Her normal blood pressure is in the 110-120 range, but after an hour with a face mask her blood pressure is 200+. Fortunately she didn't have a stroke or aneurysm, but it was kind of scary.
She may have to play the ADA card next time.
I’d best pay attention similarly. Don’t take my BP often enough. Sigh.
