When some fool starts touting IQ in a shallow context such as this, you can be sure you are listening to someone as clueless as they get. IQ is an almost anecdotal measure of intelligence assessment, not a quantitative value, like barometric pressure or temperature. Add to that the obvious meaning of such a pronouncement: that Lori Petty does not care what is true or real, if she can insult the majority of Americans, and get a laugh.
Well, the laugh is on her, as she is an airhead at best.
All an IQ test really measures is how well a person answered that particular test on that particular day. I always have to laugh when people say they have an IQ of 137, or any specific number, as if it has always been that and will always be that.

IQ is a real measure of intelligence. Assuming the person tested can even read. That is the base assumption.
But there are multiple cognitive tests that can measure IQ without reading.
