WARNING - SLIDE - RE: screen name

The encounter of Jesus, the Samaritan woman, and the living water is a story of great significance and many nuances.

Here's a link that describes the story way better than I can even though the article does not start out well. I prefer teaching in a more tactful (can I help you with that) way rather than a dogmatic (let's just shoot the messenger) way. It does, however, once you get to the meat (starting with the paragraph, 'I'm grateful') explain some of those nuances.

You are the first person to ask me about the reference. Someone else mentioned it in a FReep mail. The funny thing is, it was not the one I thought I entered. I only realized that fact after I'd been signed up for a few months. At that point, I had to do some digging myself. All I can say is, God has a plan and I don't. :D

Here's the linky thingy: (Ignore the title and scroll past the first dozen or so sentences)

Brief slide continuation -

Thank you for the story at the link about Jesus, the Samaritan woman and the living water. The story got my mind racing in 10 directions about parallels in our lives and even here on the thread. It has me contemplating our encounters with others as we go about our daily lives, and how we change and grow as a result of the contact we have with people. It’s part of the reason I believe this quarantine of healthy people goes against the very nature of humans. We are very much pack animals and we thrive best (redundant?) when we’re with each other and not isolated from each other.

I’m going to need to re-read the story when I’m fresher and can organize my swirling thoughts better. It’s fascinating how the passage came to be your screen name and I’m glad you shared both with me.
